The Honda Legacy

For nearly 80 years, Honda has been producing some of the most popular vehicles on the road, including sporty motorcycles and reliable cars. Honda got its start in 1946, following the end of World War II, and began with just 12 people working in a small shack. Their first efforts consisted of using two-stroke engines to build improvised motorized bicycles – a far cry from the kinds of vehicles they make today. Initially, they used engines from other companies, but once those ran out, they began to build their own engines, starting with the Honda A-Type.

In 1949, Honda produced its first complete motorcycle, constructing both the frame and the engine, which was sold as the D-Type, also called the “Dream.” In the years that followed, Honda continued to improve upon and revise their designs. In 1961, just 12 years after making their first motorcycle, motorcycles made by Honda achieved their first World Championship and Grand Prix victories. By 1964, they were the largest manufacturer of motorcycles in the world; Honda introduced its first automobile, a small truck, in 1963, followed later that same year by their first production car.

In 1959, American Honda Motor Co, Inc. was established in California as the first subsidiary of Honda here in the US – the first Honda car, the N600, sold here in 1969. The gas crisis of the 1970s caused a major push among drivers to choose fuel-efficient models, something that imports like Honda excelled at – in fact, the Honda Civic CVCC in 1974 was the first vehicle to meet the standards of the US Clean Air Act without using a catalytic converter. The Honda Accord hatchback became very popular when it was released in 1976, with a sedan following that in 1979.

The Honda legacy, here in the US and throughout the world, is one of innovation, developing new technology, and always pushing to be the best. Whether that is the Honda Insight being the first hybrid vehicle available in North America back in 1999, or Honda building its 20-millionth vehicle here in the US in 2014, there has always been a strong connection between Honda’s success and their investment in America. That is why we are so proud to offer new and used Hondas for our customers to ensure you get the finest and most reliable vehicles on the road.

Fantastic Used Honda Models

One of the great things about the Honda lineup is that there have been so many fantastic vehicles over the years, which gives you a lot to choose from when shopping for a used model. For example, if you are interested in a car, then Honda is one of the best choices out there since they have been selling amazing cars here in the US for decades. From a safe and reliable used Honda Civic to a remarkable used Honda Accord, there is a used Honda sedan to meet just about any need. Best of all, many of these models have been offered with a variety of powertrains, including efficient hybrid options, giving you a lot of freedom to get just what you want.

Honda is no stranger to SUVs and crossovers, providing some of the sportiest and most enjoyable models on the road. The HR-V is one of the most popular crossovers on the market, which means you can find a lot of them when you are shopping for used models. If you want something a bit larger, then consider a used Honda Pilot or Passport, both of which have been available for years and have terrific features to offer. Of course, if you are not sure which model would be right for you, then we can help you look at your options and choose the right one.

If you need something bigger or with more muscle than a crossover, then Honda still has you covered with a number of amazing options. A used Honda Odyssey is perfect for anyone looking for one of the most popular minivans out there – while many manufacturers have left minivans behind in favor of SUVs, the Odyssey remains an amazing choice for a ton of seating and space inside. If you are looking for a used midsize truck, then you cannot go wrong with a used Honda Ridgeline, one of the most stylish and sportiest pickups on the road. Full-size trucks are great, but the modest size and impressive performance of the Ridgeline make it the perfect choice for a pickup to fit into your life.

Tips For Choosing The Right Vehicle

If you are not sure which vehicle would be right for you, then we are happy to help you by discussing your options, answering your questions, and going over what is available with you to narrow down what you are looking for. You can get a good sense of what you might need by looking at the kind of passenger requirements you have for your vehicle. If you only need a couple of people with you, then a fantastic Honda car or hatchback is one of our favorite options, especially if you do not have a ton of room in your life. On the other hand, if you need frequent seating for five passengers (or much more), then a crossover or SUV is a great option – the Odyssey is ideal for the most passenger-seating possible.

You might similarly consider your budget and long-term expenses to choose the right vehicle. A hybrid from Honda is a great way to cut down on your gas costs, saving you money with a used model and long-term as you skip the gas pump more often. On the other hand, if you need a vehicle that can assist you with your work, if you are a carpenter or in another trade, for example, then the Honda Ridgeline can be the perfect choice with impressive interior features and plenty of muscle to help you get your job done. Your budget will guide a lot of your buying decisions when shopping for a vehicle, so keep that in mind as you consider your options.
