Classic Honda of Midland Sponsors Midland County Greater Works 9th Annual Turkey Trot – A "Virtual Run"

Classic Honda of Midland is a proud sponsor of Midland County Greater Works 9th Annual Turkey Trot. The annual race is Midland County Greater Works' biggest fundraising event. The funds raised by participants and sponsors provide Midland County Greater Works with funds to feed the low income, elderly, and/or disabled community of Midland County, Texas. However, this year brought the organization new challenges.

To respect social distancing, Midland County Greater Works changed their traditional Turkey Trot to a "Virtual Run". The switch promotes safety in the community while also bringing new fundraising opportunities. By adjusting the Turkey Trot to a "Virtual Run", participants can now invite friends and family from anywhere to join them. The run will take place from November 21st to November 26th. The deadline to register and receive the 9th Annual Turkey Trot T-shirt is November 9th. The deadline to register to participate is November 21st. 

Facility Director Christina Hernandez says, "We recognize the need in Midland is greater than ever. This year has been especially hard on our clients who fear corona virus exposure. We have seen an increase in the number of people we serve from 350 last year to over 500 this year. We want to sincerely thank everyone in advance for their sponsorships and participation, and we invite all to come join the fun and feed someone."
